Lester M. Wolf, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®, CLF®, CLTC®, LUTCF®

Lester joined New York Life as an agent in October of 1993 after serving as a Helicopter Pilot in the United States Marine Corps. During his years as an agent, he was a  Council qualifier (2003, 2004, 2005) and qualifying member of the 2005 Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)*. As a student of the business, Lester has been awarded the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®), Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC®) and Life Underwriters Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) professional designations. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®), Lester was a Financial Adviser for Eagle Strategies, LLC, A Registered Investment Advisor. In October of 2005, Lester assumed the role of Director of Development for the Baltimore General Office. In this capacity, he was responsible for the training and development of over 100 agents on a daily basis. In 2011, Lester earned the Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF®) designation after an intensive course in leadership and agency management. In 2015, Lester was made a Partner in the Baltimore General Office. In this role he is building his own sales team while continuing his commitment to the success of each and every one of our agents. Lester resides in Baltimore with his wife, Lisa and his youngest son, Noah. His oldest son, Joshua, works in local government.


Matt Rabak, FLMI, AFSI, ACS, ARA
Corporate Vice President

Matt supervises 6 employees in the Baltimore General Office and Annapolis Sales Office, which provides support to 120 agents and a 9 person management team. Matt started his career at New York Life in July 1998 as an Office Manager Trainee in the Northern Ohio General Office. Matt was promoted to Office Manager and transferred to the Nashville General Office in January 2000. In March 2002, Matt transferred to the Greater Detroit General Office. During Matt’s tenure in Detroit, the position of Office Manager was changed to Administrative Manager. In April 2006, Matt transferred to the Knoxville General Office. Matt was promoted to Director of Operations in the Knoxville General Office in March 2007. In October 2009, Matt transferred to the Baltimore General Office. Matt was promoted to Assistant Vice President in the Baltimore General Office in September 2010. Matt was promoted again in September 2012 to his current title of Corporate Vice President. Matt earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University in May 1998. In addition, Matt has earned several Insurance Industry designations, including Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Associate, Financial Services Institute (AFSI), Associate, Customer Service (ACS), and Associate, Reinsurance Administration (ARA). Matt and his wife Alicia have a 5 year old daughter and 2 year old son.


Daniel J. Bindel, CPA

Dan has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years after graduating from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Before joining the New York Life Insurance Company, he spent 29 years with Monumental Life and Transamerica. Having obtained his CPA designation in 1988, he spent the first 20 years working in numerous Home Office roles all related to supporting their Career Agency distribution group. Realizing the huge impact that financial services representatives have in their communities, he moved to the field in 2005.  Following a very successful completion of a field Fastrack program, he quickly moved through a number of leadership positions, last serving as Vice President of Career Agencies.  He joined us in June 2014 as a Financial Services Representative and quickly obtained his FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses.  As a partner, Dan is leading the charge to expand our presence in northeast Baltimore County and Harford County.   Dan was born and raised in Baltimore and attended Calvert Hall College in Towson.  He currently lives in Perry Hall, Maryland with his wife Erin. They enjoy spending time with their 3 daughters, Caitlin Cech, Bridget and Clare as well as reading and following the Orioles and Ravens.


John Hill

After 15 years in the Financial Industry, John joined New York Life as a an agent in March 2014. He gave up a top producing practice at MetLife, where he was a consecutive Leader's Conference Qualifier and a Million Dollar Roundtable Member, to help others succeed here in Baltimore and Annapolis and became a partner in May 2016.


In his time at New York Life, John has qualified for Executive Council in 2014, 2015, and 2016 and the Million Dollar Roundtable in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. John has a passion to help other career changing professionals, like himself, with a track record of success, to improve their overall quality of life, and retire in the Financial Services Industry. He also has a desire to lead experienced Financial Advisors, Planners, and Insurance Agents to build a Lifelong Practice that will make a difference in their communities.


John is a 15 year resident of Perry Hall, Maryland, with his wife Ruby, who is his right hand companion, and his amazing kids, Zach, Jasmine, Nicholas, and Brayden


Jack Goldstein
Associate Partner

Jack has been given the opportunity to work for over 30 years in the financial services field where he gained experience and knowledge in several different industries.  Prior to joining New York Life Insurance Company in 2015, he spent most of his career in banking at various senior level positions.   This experience allowed him to develop a keen knowledge of successful organizations and the resources required to maintain the necessary key performance indicators to meet profitability and leverage those resources for stability. 

Jack strives to solve issues that results in visionary financial solutions for individuals and businesses to support their needs as it relates to their personal financial goals.  Understanding that a critical team is necessary to provide insightful and useful advice, he looks to influence a team of agents and experienced financial advisors to foster a culture of cooperative guidance to impact the communities we serve. 

During his career as a Financial Services Professional with New York Life,  he was recognized as one of the Baltimore General Office's Agents of the Year in 2015, an Annuity Elite member in 2015 and 2016, and qualified for our Executive Council in 2015, 2016, & 2017 since joining the company.  Jack also holds a Series 6 and 63. 

Jack was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from York College of Pennsylvania with a minor and concentration in Economics and Banking.  He then furthered his studies earning the Stonier Graduate Degree in Banking from The University of Delaware.  He resides in Towson, Maryland with his wife Cheryl and their granddaughter Presley.  They enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren after raising seven grown children.


Karen E. Beech
Agency Standards Consultant

Karen Beech has spent fifteen years in the securities industry. Her experience covers a wide spectrum; from acting in a registered representative capacity, learning back office procedures in multiple operations roles, to finding her niche in compliance. Karen has extensive experience conducting field audits, working with regulators, monitoring trade and account activity, delivering training, and creating and reviewing various types of communications with the public. She holds a Maryland Life, Health and Variable Annuity Insurance License, along with the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 65. She completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies at Towson University, and also attended Culinary School at the Baltimore International Culinary College.

Karen was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, and has spent most of her life there. She’s a huge fan of her hometown teams, the Ravens and the Orioles. Karen also enjoys reading, shopping, cooking and studying history (the American Civil War era, in particular), and trying to keep her three Pomeranians calm


Wayland Fincher, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®, RICP®, CLF®, LUTCF®, CLTC®
Senior Sales Development Manager

Wayland attended Portland State University to study Music and Sociology. He earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Lane Community College, Eugene Oregon. He has also received his CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®, RICP®, CLF®, LUTCF® designations from the American College, holds the CLTC® designation and FINRA securities licenses 6, 7, 26, and 63.

As a native of Oregon, Wayland enjoys living in the country with his two cats, her dog, their ferret and his wife Jill. They are both veterans - Wayland is Navy, Jill is Air Force. He also spent time as the shift supervisor for the Sheriff's Department in Oregon.

He enjoys collecting antique toys, working on stained glass, antique cars, working in his rose garden and loves classical and jazz music. They have four grown children and four grandchildren.


Jeff Saxon
Sales Development Manager

Jeff began his career with New York Life, September 2009, as an agent. During his years as an Agent, he was a Council qualifier (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015) as well as an Annuity Elite Champion in 2012. He is currently a member of NAIFA. A native of South Carolina, Jeff spent 10 years in Law Enforcement advancing to the rank of Corporal. As a Police Officer, Jeff was one of the Departments highly respected and sought after Field Training Officers. Jeff's focus encompassed the development and extensive critical training of new recruits and experienced officers. In October 2002, Jeff relocated to Maryland and started a successful career in the Mortgage and Real Estate Industry, until joining New York Life.

Jeff currently resides in Bel Air, MD with his wife, Cindy, and son, Cole. He enjoys golfing, traveling, coaching his sons travel baseball team, and spending time with his family.


Brett M. Sause, LUTCF®, LTCP®, CLTC®
District Agent

Brett started in the financial services profession in 1999. The Atlantic Financial Group, LLC** was formed shortly thereafter. The firm's philosophy in working with all of its clients is to guide them through a process that starts with a plan. This Process is aimed at helping the clients crystallize their goals and objectives.

Sause is both a Life and Qualifying member of the MDRT* and has one Court of The Table Qualification. Brett also serves as a charitable gift donor adviser through the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation Global Gift Fund. He is recognized as a Gold Knight-Level donor in the MDRT Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of the MDRT. Finally, Brett is a mentor in the MDRT mentorship program for new representatives in the business, and is also a member of the MDRT Speakers Bureau.

At an industry level, over multiple years, Brett has been awarded both the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award from NAIFA. Brett has been the guest speaker at many insurance and financial practices around the Maryland area. From 2009-2011 Brett served as the President of NAIFA- Anne Arundel which is the local chapter of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). Brett was awarded "Agent of the Year" from NAIFA-Anne Arundel in 2009-2010. In 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Brett was awarded "Agent of the Year" representing the Baltimore/Annapolis General Office of the New York Life Insurance Company.

Brian K. Shea
District Agent

Brian Shea is a District Agent from the Baltimore General Office, and owner of Tactical Financial Group**. Brian signed his New York Life contract in 2011 and achieved Premier Executive Council in his first 10 months in the business. Brian has achieved President's Council or Premier President's Council every year since. He has been a member of MDRT for 6 years, is a mentor to 2 MDRT Aspirants, and is also a member of NAIFA. He is a Centurion and Life AllStar Award winner and an Annuity Elite Silver Champion. Brian lives outside of Baltimore, Maryland with his wife, Tammy.
